They're the best band ever, but...

Spandau Ballet are the best because their songs are timeless and have an unbelievably strong identity. Everything from "To Cut a Long Story Short" to "Through the Barricades" still sounds modern to me.

Not sure if they need a makeover. The original "Only When You Leave" production is much too good to change it!

The new song "Once More" is better, certainly on its way to become a "true" Spandau classic.

Anyway, can't wait to see them back in Germany. It's a dream come true.

Hope there will be a concert DVD for USA fans

"Gold" was one of my favorite songs of the 80s, but unfortunately, Chrysalis was too busy promoting Huey Lewis & the News in the States to devote resources to backing this supergroup over here. They invented the sound that drove the 80s but never got the credit they deserved in the USA. I hope we won't be excluded from the excitement this go 'round. Best of luck guys! Wish I could be there.
